| Basic vertical and horizontal angle rescue rope techniques adapted to confined space applications form the core of this course. Students are taught how to extricate, package, and rescue a patient in a safe and efficient manner. Group discussions address questions about assessing the victim's injuries and the dangers presented by the space. In addition, a confined space rescue incident management system is taught and used to manage the rescue effort. This course makes extensive use of hands-on training through equipment use and multiple scenario driven field exercise. | |
